Mat 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven those who are in debt to us.

Today the second 'AS' in the Our Father prayer:
Today: "Forgive AS we have forgiven."
Before: "your will be done, on earth AS in heaven."
And in my opinion both are not easy to understand statements.

I can see this:
1) As God's will is and has been done in heaven, sets an example. I ask God to act towards the world just as He has managed 'heaven'. Or: Let the goodness of heaven come down to earth.
2) When we forgive, would You please be willing to forgive US? Thus, WE create a basis that God can't be less kind than we are.

Prayer

Jesus, I begin to understand why your Father demands sacrifices: then He can't refuse to make sacrifices Himself.
