Anxious or Depressed? Free coaching: info@wamkuipers.nl

I.M. Fortunate 15 Jan 2021

It is a question of justice if some people are more fortunate than others. At a first glance I would say that this world is not fair for all people. One could conclude that God is not just.

Justice

No parent can be completely just with all of his or her children. It is impossible to have them all seated on the same chair. Thus justice can't be dealing with all persons exactly equal. Perhaps justice is an impossible task.
People however may have rights in certain places. To set a standard, God gave us the 10 commandments and the instruction 'love your neighbour as yourselves'.

God's Offer

Fortunately God offers to all a way to the eternal life. Wouldn't that be justice?
When I believe in the gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ and am baptized, I will be saved for an eternal life in his paradise.
I am so fortunate that I could believe (at least till now).
And I believe that there is even more justice. At the end of my life, I will be judged according to my deeds. The way how I live here on earth, may affect how I will live for all eternity. The choice is up to me.

Prayer

Jesus Christ, please teach me how to love my neighbour better. Teach me your justice.

Fortunate
