Song of Solomon: Doubts 1 May 2020

Questions can make us doubt. Especially when something has gone wrong, doubts creep in our mind. Sol 5 is a beautiful story where the beloveth struggles. Observe how she never falls into any negativity. As we shall see, her first response to the challenge from the CHORUS, is to describe the beauty of her lover. The lover in this case is the ultimate Lover.

Knowing my Love

The beloveth says: "My love is fresh and young. He is outstanding."
Do I know my wife? She has a loving and caring heart which stands out over thousands. No-one loves me as she does.
The one who should love the Kingdom Community is perhaps the church. The church is still young and 'ruddy'. That could mean that she is still learning in her ministry. The love of the church nevertheless stands out over others, simply because Jesus is it's heart.

Sol 5:8-10

8 I charge you, daughters of Jerusalem,
if you should find my love,
what are you to tell him?
- That I am sick with love!
9 CHORUS:
What makes your lover better than other lovers, O loveliest of women?
What makes your lover better than other lovers,
to put us under such an oath?
10 BELOVED:
My love is fresh and ruddy,
to be known among ten thousand. ...
