Banana 1 Jul 2018

A young banana
born from Havana

After a lunch
left his bunch

An adventure dreamt
on journey he went

With his bended yellow
proud went this fellow

After some labour
came in the harbour

On ship aboard
sang a new chord

Arriving at destination
went on the next station

Riding a rapid train
began to use his brain

He was really bent
thinking where to end

At the next hop
got in a shop

Among other fruit
then became a loot

to be the joy
for a little boy

Off went the peel
he began to feel

Bite by bite
no more respite

Spoke - not any gleam:
gone is my dream
