Song of Solomon: Flock 12 Apr 2020
Tell me then, sweetheart,
where will you lead your flock to graze,
where will you rest it at noon?
That I may no more wander like a vagabond beside the flocks of your companions.
If you do not know this, O loveliest of women,
follow the tracks of the flock,
and take your kids to graze close by the shepherds' tents.
The beloved needs a place to rest at noon. She looks for a flock, representing a community where she can feel secure.
A human person needs other humans around for a healthy life. We also may be in need for a shephard who cares for the flock. Usually we feel well when there is a trustworthy authority in charge of our community.
