1 Corinthians 1:2 - To Whom. 25 Feb 2024

1Co 1:1 Paul, called by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus,
and Sosthenes, our brother,
2 to the church of God in Corinth,
to those who have been consecrated in Christ Jesus
and called to be God's holy people,
with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
their Lord as well as ours.

The Corinthians letter is directed to a broad public.
Firstly to the church of God, in Corinth.
Paul adds more.
Have you been 'consecrated in Christ Jesus?
Are you called to be among God's holy people?
Do you call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ?
Then yes, this letter is addressed to you.

The Corinth Channel.

At the time of Saint Paul, this channel did not exist. Although it was desired at his time and works had been started already then, the channel was only finished some 200 years ago.

Prayer

Jesus, may Saint Pauls's words be as a channel providing a short route to come closer to you.
