1 Corinthians 1:10 Factions. 28 Feb 2024

1Co 1:10 Brothers, I urge you,
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
not to have factions among yourselves
but all to be in agreement in what you profess;
so that you are perfectly united in your beliefs and judgments.

As you can see in the picture, the Corinth Channel separates Corinth from the mainland. Fortunately, some bridges are available. Now, the channel was not always there. It has been dug with a lot of human work. In the early centuries, many of the laborers were Jewish slaves.

Man Made Separation

Saint Paul urges us not to have 'man-made' divisions in the church. The result should be that we are united in beliefs and judgments. It is not easy. On of the problems is my pride. It shall be my way or no way. I forget to love my neighbor.

Prayer

Jesus, make me vulnerable and loving.
