Matthew 7:7-8. Ask, Seek, Knock. 12 Feb 2023

Mat 7:7 Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. 8 Everyone who asks receives; everyone who searches finds; everyone who knocks will have the door opened.

I know, this scripture is about asking God. How many of you find your prayer requests answered by God? By God? Perhaps I turn to the wrong place with my request. I may be afraid to ask my brother, and just ask God.

My prayer may be like, "Father God, give me bread, but do not involve my brothers and my neighbors." Would that be a pleasing prayer to God? Actually, I refuse to ask, to seek and to knock.

Prayer

Jesus, teach me to ask my brother for help, to seek solutions and to knock on my neighbors door.

Self Evaluation

Just to ask God for a miracle may estrange me from life and even God.
