Mat 5:10 Blessed are those who are persecuted in the cause of uprightness: the kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

I assume this concerns the doers of the word. They do what they know as good. But why would one being persecuted for what is good? John the Baptist is a clear example.

In the beatitudes, it is the second 'blessed' where the kingdom of Heaven is promised.

Prayer

Jesus, I ask for courage to stand the test when I am challenged.
