Matthew 4:25-5:1. Teaching Time. 18 Dec 2022

Mat 4:25 Large crowds followed him, coming from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and Transjordan. 5:1 Seeing the crowds, he went onto the mountain.
And when he was seated his disciples came to him.

It is when Jesus was seated that His disciples came to him. One would expect that Jesus as a king would be seated on a throne. He sat at a place where his disciples could approach Him.
Seeing the crowds, He could have run away to escape. He however went onto the mountain. Perhaps there was only one mountain.
Mountains have a special place in the bible. They are the place to meet God.

And Jesus sat down, as if the mountain was his throne. And all who were willing to hear could come.

Prayer

Jesus, Thank you that I can come to You as well.
