1 Corinthians 14:32-34 All, But Not Women 1 August 2024

1Co 14:32 The prophetic spirit is to be under the prophets' control,
33 for God is a God not of disorder but of peace.
As in all the churches of God's holy people,
34 women are to remain quiet in the assemblies,
since they have no permission to speak:
theirs is a subordinate part,
as the Law itself says.

The prophet can control the prophetic spirit. He can speak or not. He does have responsibility for the words coming from his mouth. He has to submit to order.

Why Not?

Why are women not allowed to speak in the churches of God's holy people? Few people are allowed to speak in a Catholic church. Even fewer are willing to give account for their words.

Jesus, help me to be accountable.
