1 Corinthians 15:51-53 Last Trumpet. 26 August 2024
1Co 15:51 Now I am going to tell you a mystery:
we are not all going to fall asleep,
52 but we are all going to be changed,
instantly, in the twinkling of an eye,
when the last trumpet sounds.
The trumpet is going to sound,
and then the dead will be raised imperishable,
and we shall be changed,
53 because this perishable nature of ours must put on imperishability,
this mortal nature must put on immortality.

Until tonight I thought that trumpets were modern time musical instruments. And in a way I was right. Only around 1800 the modern trumpet came into existence. But the basic simple limited trumpet existed already in the time of Moses. It was intended to call the people to break up the camp and to move on.
Change
At that time I will change from perishable to immortal. Something only God can do.
Prayer
Jesus, please come soon. We need you and I want you to come.
