Mat 19:22 But when the young man heard these words he went away sad, for he was a man of great wealth.

I can relate to the young man. It is not easy to give up your house, car, wealth or security. As far as I can see, Jesus did not judge or humiliate this man.
I am wondering whether this young man had a desire to follow Jesus.

Jesus, I pray for desire to follow you and for the courage to pay the costs.
