Mat 20:8 In the evening,
the owner of the vineyard said to his bailiff,
"Call the workers and pay them their wages,
starting with the last arrivals
and ending with the first."

As often, I have to correct myself. There was an overseer at the vineyard. He knew his business. He did not ask any question.

It is almost as in the church: no questions. The overseers have been equipped with authority.

Prayer

Jesus, teach me about proper use of authority.
