Matthew 20:22. Drinking The Cup 28 Aug 2023

Mat 20:22 Jesus answered,
'You do not know what you are asking.
Can you drink the cup that I am going to drink?'
They replied,
'We can.'

According to Jesus it is not easy to sit at his right or left side. The word 'sit' sounds passive. One of the brothers who was present with the crucifixion of Jesus, got there a second mother, Mary. When we are close to Jesus, we may be assigned important tasks.
I am just wondering where the second brother was during the crucifixion.

Jesus, do I entrust myself in your neighborhood? Can I drink the cup?
