The rest of the history of Hezekiah, and his deeds of faithful love, are recorded in the Vision of the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz, in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel.

Epitaph

Nice words about a king of Judah. Most persons would be honoured with such a record on their life. Would you however know the 'Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel'? For whatever reasons, the records of the deeds of faithful love may have been lost.

The memory of God

Still we believe that God remembers our deeds of love. If I have cared for someone, that person may remember as well. All our good deeds are remembered for ever.
What about the not so good deeds? What about my laziness and procrastination? Will that be remembered for an eternity? I may remember it myself a long time.
What about my sins? If I confess my sins, God is so good, to forget them. God does not like to remind me to my sins. Confessed sins will not be recorded by God. For he loves and cares.

Finally I must forgive myself, otherwise I will remember my sins continuously in the eternal life.
It is not an easy thing to forgive myself. I am loved by God and God likes me to be redeemed from what hinders a meaningful future.
