Luke 22:19 Then he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.'

Passover

Remember, it is the Jewish Passover supper of Jesus with the apostles. As instructed by God, Israel remembers the exodus from Egypt.

Jesus came with a mission. The mission is almost finished. The Lamb of God was about to be sacrificed. And there is a special meal to remember this. The body of Jesus has been given for my redemption.

My Exodus

After the redemption, my personal exodus starts. God may lead me into the desert, on new paths of life. If I do not like to move I will stay in the 'flesh' of Egypt. Because the people of God are lead by him to a new future.
