Mat 11:9 Then what did you go out for?
To see a prophet? Yes,
I tell you, and much more than a prophet:
10 he is the one of whom scripture says:
Look, I am going to send my messenger in front of you
to prepare your way before you.

A prophet is a messenger. Messenger John was sent ahead of Jesus. The disciples of Jesus were instructed to be messengers ahead of Jesus. And so am I.
All those who had been chosen didn't find it easy. A disciple however does take up the challenge and journey. Even when it leads into the desert.

Prayer

Jesus, have patience with me and instruct me.
