Matthew 12:1-2. Judgment on Sabbath 13 Apr 2023

Mat 12:1 At that time Jesus went through the cornfields one Sabbath day.
His disciples were hungry and began to pick ears of corn and eat them.
2 The Pharisees noticed it and said to him,
'Look, your disciples are doing something that is forbidden on the Sabbath.'

I make it short. It is easy to blame or judge others. I could point to 'those nasty pharisees' or say 'Jesus did not sin, but his disciples did.'

As we will see in the coming verses, Jesus breaks the cycle of judgment. Towards the disciples, towards the pharisees and towards himself. He requests mercy.

Jesus, have mercy on me. I am a hungry disciple. I am a judgmental Pharisee.
