It may happen that I am zealous or passionate. It can be helpful to motivate myself. It may happen however that I end up being overzealous, merciless. I just run my own program. I am ignoring the needs of others around.

How would zealous and jealous relate? There seems to be a small historical connection. Jealous originated more from French language while zealous may be derived more from a Latin background.
When I act zealous Millet (my wife) may become jealous.
