I.M. Pretending 7 Sep 2021
No-one can see my soul. Not even I myself can see it nor know it. No-one can see who I really am deep inside. Of course I pretend to be a nice guy.
I pretend to be something that I am not. I pretend to be strong. But I am week. I pretend to be smart. I am just average. I pretend to be kind. Inside me are however by times quite nasty thoughts.
By times that is painful. The shield of my pretending collapses. It is inconvenient ... but it is so much needed. Now others can see more of my true identity. They even may sympathize with my humanity. They can trust what they experience.
And there is no more need to pretend being something that I am not.
Father God, I ask for grace and help with ending my false pretentions. Only then I can become who I am supposed to be.
