17 Before the day-breeze rises,
before the shadows flee, return!
Be, my love, like a gazelle,
like a young stag, on the mountains of Bether.
When I love something, I must be careful not to become protective. The beloved will suffocate.
Today the beloved does something beautiful. She sets her lover free to be whom he is and should be. She does not rob his identity.
